Dr. José Nart, general secretary of the society and founder of the Periodontitst and Dental Implants foundation (SEPA) awarded 5 fellowships for research to young dentists graduated in Periodontics and Implants worth € 20,000 to develop research into the improvement of these disciplines and treatments for patients.
In Madrid, on February 16th and 17th 2018, it took place the 10th anniversary of the SEPA research foundation. The main goal of this edition is to provide knowledge and tools to integrate research into the daily practice of periodontal treatments. These grants encourage and promote research in young talents of the five fundamental pillars of the periodontal medicine: Non-surgical periodontal treatment, Periodontal Medicine, Peridontal Regeneration and / or Mucogingival Surgery, Therapeutics and Epidemiology of implants and peri-implants diseases.
Doctor Jose Nart, member of Nart Clinica Dental, is Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS), PhD in Dentistry, Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain and Certificate in Periodontology and Implants, Tufts University, Boston, USA.
The evaluation of research protocols in Periodontics and Dental Implants were performed by the members of the Board of Directors of SEPA, among which is Professor Jose Nart Molina, and other national and international experts in this field, such as Drs Jan Derks and Profs. Anton Sculean, Juan Blanco, David Herrera and Francesco D’Aiuto.
It has been a the pleasure of sharing with this outstanding list of national and international experts the results of the five research grants.
