Techniques\u00a0 to perform dental implants<\/h2>\n

There are <\/span>different techniques<\/b>\u00a0 to perform this surgery, such as guided surgery or flapless surgery (no flap is raised).\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The flapless technique<\/h3>\n

The<\/span> flapless technique <\/b>is a procedure that is usually used when there is sufficient\u00a0 keratinized gingiva (a minimum of 2 mm is required) and bone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Guided surgery technique<\/h3>\n

Another option to place an implant is through <\/span>guided surgery<\/b>. In order to perform this\u00a0 technique, it is necessary to do a very good digital planning where it is essential to have a\u00a0 3D <\/strong><\/span>X-ray of the patient<\/b> (<\/span>CBCT<\/b>), and some models of the patient’s mouth. Based on all\u00a0 this information, the dentist is able to plan the surgery and see which is the best option to\u00a0 place the implant, thanks to a <\/span>software<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once the dentist has been able to determine\u00a0 where he wants to place the implant with the software, a <\/span>dental<\/b> splint<\/b> is made which will\u00a0 fit perfectly in the patient’s mouth and will help the clinical to place the dental implant where it\u00a0 was planned to be.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main goal of this technique is to help the implantologist<\/span> to preserve\u00a0 the anatomical structures<\/b>, but it also allows him to perform an immediate aesthetic and\u00a0 be less invasive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
